This work retrieves the gross United States Public Debt for the given day.

The work displays the US Public Debt according to the live rate of exchange between AUD and USD.

If an audience member inserts a 5c, 10c, 20c, $1 or $2 coin into the machine the US Public Debt decreases accordingly on the screen.

A donation is then made to the US Treasury to reduce their public debt in concordance with their protocols.
